Nigerian Student Drowns in The United States

A 23-year-old Nigerian student, identified as Ebenezer Tosin Oloba has reportedly died.

Reports stated that Tosin Oloba and his friend, Oscar Felipe Fuentes died over the weekend after their vehicle went off the highway and plunged into the San Antonio River.

The two young men who were said to students at Texas A&M University-Kingsville were reportedly on their way to a student government conference in College Station, Texas, United States.

A statement by Terisa Riley, who is the university senior vice president noted that, ”The university will have a candlelight vigil at 8 p.m. Tuesday in front of the college’s Javelina statue.

“It is with a very heavy heart that I inform you about the loss of two Javelina students in a car accident.

”Our thoughts and prayers are with the family and friends of Ebenezer ‘Tosin’ and Oscar. We know that they were very involved in the campus community and well-liked by everyone.”

”Fuentes and Oloba were active students on campus and were both part of the Student Government Association as senators. Oloba was chairman of the social justice and advocacy committee, and Fuentes was chairman of the external affairs committee.
